Trg heroja 5
The Narodni muzej (National Museum) in Smederevska Palanka (founded on 31 March 1966) is housed, according to local sources, in the 19th-century house of the Šišković family, on Trg heroja. It is a complex museum with departments of archaeology, ethnology, history and art history, plus a Gallery of Contemporary Art. It holds a rich collection of Serbian painting from the first half of the 20th century and outstanding finds of the Starčevo and Vinča cultures — the altar and the figurines from Medvednjak.
