1841–1847 · the only monastery in the municipality
the village of Kusadak
Manastir Pinosava (Pinosava Monastery) is dedicated to the Holy Archangel Gabriel and stands in an oak forest near the village of Kusadak — the only monastery on the territory of the municipality of Smederevska Palanka. According to tradition its history reaches back to the Middle Ages (legend mentions the army taking communion before the Battle of Kosovo, in the time of Prince Lazar), while the present stone church with a baroque bell tower was built in 1841–1847; it was turned into a monastery in 1998. People from the surrounding villages took part in the building work.
