Baničina (the churchyard)
Stanoje Stamatović Glavaš, one of the most prominent commanders (vojvoda) of the First Serbian Uprising (born in nearby Glibovac), was killed on 15 February 1815 on the orders of Suleiman Pasha Skopljak, near Baničina. He was first buried beside the place where he fell, and in 1902 he was reburied in the church of the Holy Archangel Gabriel in Baničina, where his grave with its monument stands. A protected cultural property.
